I love this. I’d also love to see an example of a product brief you’ve used.

In my roles as a PM, I tend to stay away from technical solutioning, it’s not my job to tell an engineer whether the technical solution they’ve found to achieve some functionality is correct or not, so long as they achieve the desired functionality within the guardrails we’ve set for performance, scalability, etc.

I’d be curious to hear how you walk that line creative problem solving vs. dictating the quality of a technical solution. Have you had engineers who have surprised you with feasible technical solutions that you didn’t anticipate, but which solved the desired problem?
