Ranking the best Christmas movies of all time
The case for cheesy, nostalgic, and Alan Rickman

Christmas owns the most distinctive catalog of holiday movies of any holiday. Once Thanksgiving has come and gone, and not a moment sooner, we all eagerly crack open the vault of holiday films and begin indulging.
Of course, this extensive catalog can be overwhelming, and not every Christmas movie out there is good. You wouldn’t want to accidentally stumble upon a flaming pile of deviant garbage, such as the Star Wars Holiday Special. By the way, Carrie Fischer (Princess Leia), called that “film” “a punishment from God”
Well, with that said, let’s sit back and allow me to explain why I think these Xmas films top my list every year…
