Thanks for the response Eric! I’m glad you at least liked the subject of the article.

After seeing a couple of responses like this, I’m starting to wonder whether ESPN made a deliberate decision to make the draft lobby more accessible to the “common player” or the “novice player”. I could see them having a user persona on their wall describing a target user that doesn’t want to feel overwhelmed by the walls of information that were present in the old version.

The interesting thing is that the decision seems to have come at the expense of the super-experienced fantasy football player.

I’d love to hear whether you think their new design could work better for a more novice fantasy football player, and if so, whether that was a wise strategic decision on the part of ESPN.
